Yeah, "chased by a black racer" happened to me in Boy Scouts along the C&O
Canal in Maryland, and I know other field biologists it's happened to. I've
seen rocky bluffs here in 'bama that are inhabited by both rattlers and
black racers, and the racers are more of a problem because of their
aggressiveness. But I still love herps...
