It took me all day, but I finally found someone who still had some
copies of this wonderful book, and in brand new condition.
Jonah's Aquarium has them 1-877-417-4871. They're 45 bucks, and worth
every penny even if you're not from Alabama, since many of our species
can be found all the way to Canada.
I got my copy by priority mail this morning, and I've been drooling over
it ever since!
This book is nothing new to most of you, and indeed most of you probably
already have it, but the rest of you should really consider getting it.
( Hey Al G, I finally found a picture of P. euryzonus! Not bad. Nope,
none of those around here; they live only in a surprisingly small area
100 miles away. )
I was surprised to find that Bluenosed Shiners ( P. welaka ) were
collected right here in my hometown! Here I am, planning a trip to
Mississippi, and they're right here in my backyard. Of course, I still
have to FIND them...

Jonah's also has some copies of Robert Goldstein's book about native
fish in aquaria. I know that a lot of you have this book, so I'll ask:
Is it a good book? Is it something I should buy?
