You are right I shouldn't have treated the subject with such a caviler
attitude but I do have some experience in training filter feeding fish to eat the
golden pearls and from that to tiny pellet fish food. I also have very intention
of keeping the fish at first in a large aquarium and later in an outdoor
pond. I am pretty sure the local aquarium would take it off my hands since it is
the only native fish they don't have and I do have permits and permission to
posses captive bred paddlefish and sturgeon. If I get these fingerlings there
will only be two or three of the paddle fish fingerlings and if I don't get them
they will be shipped to China to be raised as food fish so I don't think I'll
be doing anything worse to the fish than the Chinese will be doing.
