NANFA-- about seining

I am a fairly new begginer at collecting/keeping native fish, and am having
problems seining in my local streams, for darters, and such. I can't seem to
net the fish, they get away before the net gets to them. My first time out,
we got a couple crayfish, and a couple emerald shiners, but that was after
much, much seining in a rocky riffle. If anyone could let me know how to
properly siene, or has some tips, please let me know . :) thanks! -dan
