I don't keep written records unless I post to the list. We always recap
verbally any species that we encounter (for example when we're angling we even
recount that it was an "x" species day) but up to this time, I haven't kept
much of a list.

However, I picked up a teleconverter and filters for my camera this weekend as
surrogate "instant gratification" for last week's car accident. I'm going to
look into a zoom lense for a christmas present. After our trip to Ten Mile
and the specimen documentation that we did, I've been inspired to have the
gear to get shots of as much as I see while in nature and document on my
website. There are a lot of things I don't know what they are out there (not
only the fish) but a simple picture allows me to bring the specimen "home" and
then use my library so I'll know what things are the next time I see them.
All the while, leaving nature out in nature :)

I thought this would be interesting:

How many people record which species of fish they encounter while
snorkeling/seining?

feel free to elaborate. Simple "I do" will be fine.
