Great story, I'm not sure I could stand snorkeling in that cold mountain
water, brrrr. I would love to have a small hellbender if you ever find one.
How common are they? I sometimes camp on the beach with my boys. Nothing like
seafood cooked over a camp fire. My youngest wandered away from camp one
night when he was about two years old. My wife thought I had him and I
thought she had him. We both went frantic for about 30 minutes until I saw
him way down the beach silhouetted in the starlight playing tag with the
waves. That was a night to remember! He's 14 now and still loves the ocean. I
plan to teach him to scuba next summer. Hopefully he won't swim away from me
in the ocean!
