Hello All,

I recall those Ecospheres. Actually, you can still purchase them at the
Oregon Coast Aquarium's gift shop in Newport, Oregon. I saw some there
about three or four weeks ago. Unlike the Betta spheres that Jay is talking
about, these spheres contain some tiny marine shrimp (really tiny, not ghost
shrimp), and some macro algae. They are sealed, and are supposed to last
for a couple of years. I have never owned one, although I used to see them
in Carolina Biological Supply's catalog.

People should either own an aquarium or avoid these odd "shortcut" pets.

Wow, that is ridiculous.
They used to have a grass shrimp in a bowl like that with algae, but I dont
see them anymore. Those were sealed though.
