NANFA-- the epa's manual for culturing fatheads and other organisms

With the discussion of fatheads lately I remembered
finding (several years ago) a pretty detailed
culturing regimen used by the epa. As you can see if
you read the account fatheads are not scatter spawners
as implied by some posts.

If you go to the url below you can download the entire
epa manual in pdf format or just those portions that
interest you ...there is also a section on
ceriodaphnia culture...ceriodaphnia are a very small
species of daphnia whose newborn are about the size of
bbs. You will have to have acrobat reader to view the
manual....fortunately acrobat reader is freely
distributed and can be found all over the internet.
