I also know nothing of its courtship, but I know that it will spawn in
freshwater. S. scovelli sometimes occurrs as "land-locked" populations in
Florida springs, the Ichetucknee, and in the upper reaches of Florida's
famous intermittent river, the Santa Fe. I think that Thomas Hellier
provided a 1-2 paragraph description of its biology in his study of the
fishes of the Santa Fe (1967- Bull Fla State Mus Nat Sci).

That's two questions. :-)

The gulf pipefish -- Syngnathus scovelli -- is sometimes found in fresh
water.

I know nothing about its courtship.
