Attention Ohio NANFA, I am currently in the final stages of getting the
native fish trail signs designed for various locations along the Mahoning
River. Eventually, I would like to see other areas of the state adopt the
same thing on their local watershed. I want some input and interest as to
this project to be shared by members. These signs will also feature info on
NANFA. The signs will feature photos and illustrations of the "lesser known"
fishes native to the river as well as information on the importance of
forested riverbanks in relation to both the wildlife population and the
human population. They will be constructed of plastic wood manufactured from
recycled #2 plastic pop bottles and detergent bottles...... Rob Carillio
