Well guys, the jelly fish showed up in a series of barrels that I keep full
of rain water that drains from my roof. The barrels are full of hair algae,
bullfrog tadpoles, daphnia, cyclops, and home to maybe 6 tiny jellyfish. I
assume they are eating the copepods that live in the barrels. The copepods
have been added to the barrels from several people who sent me soil or mud
from temporary ponds that contained copepods and lots of other small
organisms. Evidently they settle down at night because I just returned from
looking in the barrels tonight after dark but I didn't see any. My wife and
my son saw them yesterday also so I don't think I was seeing things, so I
will try to count them tomorrow too.
