I have returned from my trip a day late - bad things are happening to the
airline industry as far as service/reliability.

Anyway -

I left a couple dozen phoxinus fry and I returned to a couple hundred. From
3 females. I had no idea they were so prolific. I'm a bit worried about
how many babies I am going to end up with in my other tank of local red
belly dace - I have about 20 females and they are just starting to breed.

As Mark Binkley told me, they are not fussy eaters at all. My wife ground
up some flake food which is greedily consumed, along with some freeze-dried
daphnia. The early hatching fish are clearly larger the younger fish, so
something is working out right.

I'm going to have to set up an account on aquabid in a few months.
