Quoting BG Granier <shinerscoop-in-bellsouth.net>:

PetsMart would have no interest in poisoning fish, but the lefty enviro's would.
My local PetsMart (the only LFS deals strictly in salt) is friendly, they just
don't stock anything interesting (not "bread and butter"). I'm very familiar
with how the corporate world works, and I see nothing sinister (excluding old
latin textbook jokes) in this.

To me, it's a good idea to always carry two sacks of something when you walk
around. That way, if anybody says, "Hey, can you give me a hand?" You can say,
"Sorry, got these sacks."
