If you find yourself in our neck of the woods, stop in. I'm entering a
longear sunfish in the fish show.

Please forward this message to any other fishy friends or e-mail lists you
have.

If you are in the Washington DC region, be sure to check out www.pvas.com,
click on workshops. This is the big Fall Fish Festival weekend. We have some
incredible speakers, a fish show sanctioned by the American Cichlid
Association, and a terrific all-day auction on Sunday.

10:00 -11:00: Dr. Wayne Leibel, Pike Cichlids
11:30 -12:30: Randy Carey, Patterns for Spawning the Scatterers
3:30 - 4:30: Bob Dozier, A Re-introduction to Betta Splendens
3:30 - 4:30: Dr. Greg Morin, Chemistry of the Planted Aquarium
5:00 - 6:00: Dr. Wayne Leibel, Eartheater Cichlids
6:00 - 7:30: Cocktail Hour
7:30 - 9:30: Banquet featuring Best-in-Show and Best-in-Class Awards.
Keynote speaker Randy Carey, Fish Room Anecdotes

You will find some incredible bargains at the auction, including fish you
never see in pet shops, and live plants that sell very cheaply. It's a great
way to buy plants if you are not sure of you skills as a plant-keeper! If
you have equipment or fish you don't want any more, it's also a great place
to sell them. Checks are sent to sellers within a week, thanks to our
terrific treasurer, Emily!

I hope to see you there!
