NANFA-- Temps

My tropical fish in their out door pond continue to tolerate temps in the low
50's. Glass catfish which I would have doubted could stand anything lower
than 68 are alive and well at 53. Something tells me temperature tolerance is a
lot lower than usually believed. Hopefully this weekend I will get them into a
tropical tank and the experiment will be over. Of course winter water temps
here fall into the high 30's so it's unlikely any real tropicals can stand that
but it's interesting to see how unnecessary heaters really are in a house that
stays relatively warm.
