The Bangor hydro electric damn site on the Presumscott River in Veasie still
remains a major challenge to even the strongest of the s. solar in returning
to their spawning grounds. The steps (last time I was there) were in
dis-repair and need attention.
On a lighter subject, we used to often get lobster just brimming with
eggs. The sacks held together nicely and were a delightful treat.
The very best roe I have ever eaten though is that from sea urchins. It
is very strong and salty and puts baluga caviar to shame.
