Why don't I do something productive around here, huh? :)
=20
This is... "Pearly Mussels: Who you callin' Fat Mucket!?"

http://www.farmertodd.com/mussels/presentation/Unionidae_files/frame.htm

It's a presentation I put together on our freshwater mussels. It has =
some natives in it (brindled madtom on the half shell anyone?) but it is =
about Unionids with a semi focus toward Ohio species (which fits well =
across the Mississippi watershed). I think this has appeal to many =
people interested in native fishes. And yes... I'm finally listed on a =
mussel permit. Only for the Maumee this year. But wait til they see =
what me-n-Jeffro got cookin'! ;)

You'll need to use Microsoft Internet Exploder to view it because of the =
PowerPoint Active X control used to navigate. Other than that... Enjoy. =
=20
=20
I'd also like to publicly thank and credit Chris Barnhart and Kevin =
Cummings for the materials they provide on their websites, because this =
would not have been much of anything without their work!=20

=20
I can put the source file on my website (or the NANFA website if we =
NANFA folks would find it useful for NANFAns). I was a good boy and =
Photochopped all my pictures before I put them into PowerPoint, so the =
whole file is only 2.5 mb :)
=20
This reminds me... I should update "Jewels in our Streams". I'll just =
add it to the list hehheh. =20
=20
Would there be any interest in putting up my talk called "Nature =
Preserve in a Can" on using native plants as an alternative to exotic =
for landscaping or solid turf?
=20
At some point this summer... I'm going to be organized with whole =
galleries of fish and mussels and plants in ONE LOCATION, not on my hard =
drive, cds, and flash cards :) =20
=20
Spring Fling write up (maybe even the Darby trip from last year?!) =
coming soon, greatly enhanced with Jeff's pictures.
=20
Lot of updates to the NANFA website coming the first week of May. Got a =
lot of great pictures from the 2004 Convention from various =
photographers!
