Got the group of 5 today. They are currently in a critter keeper of
sorts with java moss and Najas. Quite a few blackworms crawling around
which I hope they will eat. Also, cyclops were rather abundant before
putting them in. Besides darker colors, how do you sex them? I think I
have both sexes(certainly 2 males-in-the least) but they often lighten
the colors up(plus, the bottom is sandy and thus a light color).

Also, I got a trio of F. chrysotus and J. floridae. Any suggestions on
these? I plan to breed both of them(esp. the latter as someone else
has only 3 females from the same source).

The person on the other end kept pretty good records of the collection
location including coordinates of sorts. Besides saving it for future
reference what else could this information be useful for? the
