I personally do not recommend collecting the
Hippocampus erectus, because it is not easy to keep in
the aquarium unless one feeds them with live food
continuously. Some of them may be trained to take
frozen food but this is not always working. However if
someone wants to give it a try and presuming that he
knows if it is legal to collect, then I can upload
somewhere a pdf article with locations in the Bay. I
will participate only to take pictures, but not to
collect.

Bob, do you intend to add those collecting places in
your future Bay trip?

I personally had problems with Atherina mochon in
Europe. I was not even able to transport them because
15 min after transfer from the net to a bucket they
got into some sort of "cardiac arrest" :-)...and I
even scooped them from the net with a cup, didn't
touched them-in-all...

I'm hoping to lead a trip to

Can you give us more details? I do not receive all the
postings from NANFA (the intelligent design is not
functioning well with my email or computer), so I may
have missed the details about that trip you are
talking about. What are other species one can find
over there? I don't like snakeheads...hahahahahaha...

Thank you
sorin
