Back before there was a size limit on bass in Wisconsin, I caught and kept
three largemouth bass. They were 3 inches each roughly in September. I had
them in a 29 gallon. You could not find friendlier Oscars. By January I was
up to a dozen minnows a day, and the three bass ranged from 12 to 14 inches
in length. This was still in a 29 gallon tank. They had 50% water changes
weekly. I was glad to put them in a little pond down the road come spring.
( I know, I did several "bad things" I was 13 at the time)
