Hi Tom,

I've been using the good ol' Quickcrete Play Sand (which I've found a lot of
places) in all of my aquariums without any complaints (in fact, pounds of
praise). There seem to be two mine sources... If it's reddish, I rinse the
clays out, if it's white, I haven't even bothered. The "silts" settle out
within a few days.
