NANFA-- Aquarium Sand

All:

I found a local company that gets sand out of the Columbia River. They
wash and grade it. I got two free bags of DEQ filter grade sand. (Dept.
of Environmental Quality) I spoke with a number of sand blast people over
the phone and the only course quartz sand was from a nickle foundry. I
passed on that one.

The plus in all of this is that I was able to find some nice, red, river
run gravel and rock from Montana at 0.15 a lb.

Thanks for all of the comments.
