This weekend was finally nice. Saturday was rainy, but Sunday was sunny
although very windy. Both days were warm, so I took the shinerscoop (aka
remote control dip net) out to the marsh. Check out my web site to see pics
of the trip and some of the fish I caught.

I wish I had not run out of battery power on Saturday, being well out in the
middle of the marsh, there were some great shots of ancient tamaracs, the
bluffs ( the south bluff is a bad pic, but the only one that turned out),
big owls, eagles, hawks, deer, and other wildlife besides aquatic stuff.

Here is a list of fish plus I caught:
blacknose shiner
northern redbelly dace
golden shiner
central mudminnow
yellow bullhead
black bullhead
tadpole madtom
pumpkinseed
iowa darter
snapping turtle
green frog
green frog tadpoles
bullfrog tadpoles
various aquatic insects
various small crustaceans
