I've been trying to get a photo for some time but he is not very
cooperative. I haven't wanted to put him through the stress of capture in
order to use a photo tank but I guess that I may have to. I really don't
think that he is sick because he has been significantly lighter since the
day he was caught. I assumed that he would color up after awhile but he
hasn't after 7 months.

By the way, another "odd" behavior that I have seen all of the madtoms do is
to swim straight up to the surface and then slowly sink back to the bottom,
usually tail first. It's rather comical to watch especially if they repeat
it a time or two.
