what are the dates again?
the 98 darterfest was in april... so lampreys... the ones i viewed were nest
building in a tiny creek. kinda fun watching them writhe and collect rocks
with their sucker mouths. probably freaked out any boys collecting crawdads.
i do remember i collected a few rosy sides cause chris s ided them for me
when he visited during the 98 convention.
black nose dace... now orange side dace, are in nearly every spring and cool
creek around chatt. srbd are rare here and i know of only one site which i
have been sworn to secrecy. a fellow from the n lands showed up at my door w/
a mason jar full of fry a year plus ago. now they are swarming little fishes.
survived the trek in a quart mason jar. :) amazing.
more details martin!
it would be nice to see you but after the show fritz, steve and i got most
folks are expecting a lot more nowadays.
tell us about the campsite too. how big are the mosquitoes? how sweaty will
it be at 3 am? where do the gators sleep... or do they sleep?
are you gonna get jan hooverman to show up? are we cooking fish sticks or gar
balls ala bessie granier?
details and comeons needed.
