NANFA-- Umbra limi advice?

Hi everyone,
I don't have rainbow shiners, but my mudminnows are magnificent. Well,
sort of - they have interesting faces, like extras in a Bergman film...

To the point - I'm surprised to see my fish colouring up. When I got
them, they were from a cold Northern spring beaver pond, and were in
full colour. The lime green anal fin was pretty distinctive. After 2
weeks, they toned down. Now, as their water has hit 19C/66F, the females
are starting to bulge and they are displaying very seriously in the two
tanks I have them in. They've become very territorial. This is
unexpected, as it seems warm to me, but they don't seem to want to do
what I expected (nothing).

So I'd like to assist them in their breeding initiatives, so I can take
credit for spawning them :-)
Any advice from others with experience of these characters?
-Gary Elson
