Hi, Geoff. I'm cc ing my local aquarium cub, the Potomac Valley Aquarium
Society.

All, Geoff and I have been having a discussion about decapsulating brine
shrimp eggs. I've just begun doing this (not having realized how
ridiculously easy it is)

Geoff asked how easy it is to store the eggs once they're decapsulated. I
saw a reference on the web that said they should be kept in a hypertonic
salt solution--add salt to water until it no longer dissolves. I haven't
tried that, because I'm not sure how much salt to start with.

(I've just been dumping mine in a 10 gallon tank containing artificial sea
water, for baby sail fin mollies. I don't seem to have that high a hatch
rate, so maybe I'm letting them sit in the bleach too long.)

If anyone has any info on storing the eggs or improving the hatch rate, we'd
love to hear it.

Thanks!
