That sounds really exciting.
Where did these fish come from?
I had a surprise a few weeks ago with a Flier who survived the winter unscathed
in one of my turtle ponds. The really interesting thing about it is that the pond
completely iced over and was only about a foot deep. There may be a microclimate
effect involved since it is located near my larger pond and the turtles had no
trouble surviving.
