I have a white sucker that I caught last year about this time.

It has more than doubled in size from about 2.5 inches to pushing 6

I keep it in my stream tank with darters, stonerollers, and a few minnows.

I feed flake and blackworms and frozen blood worms/mysis/brine shrimp

I try to be very careful to disperse the worms in the current to keep the
food from concentrating anywhere. I feed the flake to distract the minnows
from the more expensive stuff. The white sucker eats flake as well.

I think the difference is that I keep my white sucker with fish with similar
feeding habits. they all compete directly on a level playing field (the
gravel). When you mix sunfish or fish with different feeding habits, I
think you will need to resort to techniques like the hydrotube or ther
techniques to direct the food to less aggressive eater.

keeping the pigs busy with their own, of course)? Like chunks of
shrimp/krill, clams or worms. Anyone tried this?
